He shifted his feet, forcing her legs wider apart, opening her to him. Pressing against her lower back with his hand, he urged her closer. When their bodies were touching from their hips to their chests, Cale leaned forward and nuzzled the purple streak of hair by her ear. His hand didn’t stop caressing her as he spoke.
“You on the pill?”
“No.”
“On anything else that might prevent me from planting my baby in your belly tonight?”
She shivered at his words, but mutely shook her head and looked at him with wide eyes.
“You want that?” Cale forced himself to ask. He wasn’t an asshole, he’d never do anything she didn’t want, but was relieved when she bit her lip and nodded her head.
“If you want to be a mom, I’ll make that happen for you. As many times as you want. One, two, five, sixteen. I don’t care. I’ve got the money to take care of you and as many babies as you’ll give me.”
“Cale.”
The one word said so much. It was a plea. And a question. And a declaration all at once.
He forced himself to take a step away from the woman he’d wanted the second he’d lain eyes on her. He stood before her, bare in both the physical and the emotional sense. He held out a hand toward her. “Let me make your dreams come true, princess.”
